THE WORK OF BUILDING BRIGHTER FUTURES
I ran for school board to bring greater competence, transparency, and a deeply student‑centered focus to Orange Unified, and I have stayed true to that commitment. I’ve built strong relationships across our district by visiting schools, listening to teachers and staff, and engaging directly with students and parents. I am fiscally responsible and have consistently directed resources where they make the greatest impact for students.
I’m proud of the progress we’ve made together: strengthening rigorous academics and academic achievement, improving the safety and quality of our facilities, expanding early childhood education programs and after‑school programming, investing in student support services, and deepening meaningful family engagement. We are capable of reaching greater heights and that is why I ask for your support in the November 2026 election!
Responsible Leadership Through Turbulent Times
Orange Unified has weathered challenging times, including a recall that reflected the community’s desire for leadership focused on students, schools, and the future of public education. My commitment has never wavered: student success and well‑being remain at the center of every decision I make.
Today, our district is moving forward with stability, thoughtful planning, and a renewed spirit of collaboration. Over the past year, I have worked to strengthen respectful governance, protect long‑term financial health, and invest in the schools our students deserve. This work includes launching a districtwide enrollment and facilities study to guide responsible modernization, advocating for improvements to safety and technology, and advancing an Asset Management Plan that positions us to upgrade elementary schools, reduce combination classes, restore assistant principals, and deepen staff collaboration. Our students' wellbeing is my priority, and I have continued to advocate for our community schools, for counselors on every campus, and for increased safety measures.
Delivering on Measure S and Modernizing Our Schools
Measure S has transformed our high schools into modern, safe, state‑of‑the‑art campuses—facilities that truly reflect the excellence our students deserve. I am proud to have helped pass Measure S as an OUSD Mom, and equally proud to have helped shepherd its implementation as a Trustee. The next phase promises even more improvements for students across the district. I also championed the historic allocation of $57 million for safety enhancements, technology upgrades, and significant improvements to elementary campuses—ensuring that maintenance and modernization happen on time and with transparency.
As Board President, I led the successful search for our new Superintendent, a leader who shares our commitment to academic excellence, expanded opportunities, strong family support, and safe, well‑resourced learning environments.
A Future‑Ready Education for Every Student
My priorities remain clear: providing a world‑class, future‑ready education in safe, modern schools where every child is supported academically, socially, and emotionally. I believe in educating the whole child—ensuring physical and emotional safety, delivering challenging academics, and expanding real‑world opportunities that help students discover their passions and prepare for meaningful careers.
I’m proud that OUSD operates one of the largest and most diverse Career Technical Education programs in Orange County, offering hands‑on learning across 12 industry‑aligned pathways, including, but not limited to • Health Sciences • Engineering • Aviation • Business • Agriculture • Public service • The Arts * Information Technology * Building Construction
At the same time, our students have exceptional opportunities to become college‑ready, with access to rigorous AP and honors courses and a wide range of college classes they can take while still in high school—many even completing an Associate’s Degree before graduation.
Ensuring that all our students, and future generations, receive a first-class education is an awesome challenge, but one we can absolutely meet. We must apply vision, discipline and commitment to the work of public education. It’s an honor to represent Orange Unified School District as your Trustee and I humbly ask for your support in my re-election campaign.
